According to operating regulations novices and inexperienced people are only allowed to climb the rock when accompanied by an instructor (they must complete a via ferrata course, under the supervision of an accredited instructor - mountain guide, mountain guide, rock climbing instructor, altitude specialist)
Each visitor must be equipped according to operating regulationsThe fact that the via ferrata is at your own risk does not exempt you from the obligation to take the mandatory equipment.
Make sure you have the right equipment (preferably with a service), so that it is not old or worn out, always use a fall absorber (so-called brake). Belaying without a fall absorber (ferrata brakes) is prohibited. Injuries with permanent consequences may occur. The ferrata brake is functional in the range of 40 - 120 kg (climber's weight including clothing and backpack). If the minimum weight condition is not met or the maximum weight is exceeded, the fall absorber will not function properly and additional belaying by an experienced climber is required. The technical parameters of the equipment used are also important. If you don't have your own set, you are missing a helmet or gloves, you can borrow the missing element. We recommend a minimum height of 120 cm, due to overcoming certain passages on the wall. A person of shorter height has difficulty moving on the wall. Since we observe carelessly worn sets and other similar offenses every day, we recommend that you visit one of the local rental companies before your climb and have your equipment checked or helped to put on.
Via ferrata equipment
To safely climb via ferratas, you will need the following equipment: seat and chest considerations, flat nylon loop (1.5 m) on their connection, ferrata brake andclimbing helmet. Ferrata gloves are certainly suitable, but not absolutely necessary. You can replace the combined harness (seat + breast) full-body harness, which is easier to operate, but its use is limited almost exclusively to via ferratas.
