Traffic Light Update

Ferrata closed

The ferrata closes at night - controlled by a sensor (it only controls the traffic light at the ferrata, which takes precedence over the traffic lights on the website and in apps). A characteristic of sandstone is that when it is wet or damp, it cracks or crumbles due to its fragility. Safety anchors can be damaged. For this reason, the ferrata is periodically closed even during the summer season. Please respect this. Violating the entry ban is fined by the Municipal Police. In good weather (sun and wind), the ferrata usually reopens within 12 to 24 hours.

Preparing to open

This status announced by the administrator indicates that, unless there is an unexpected change in weather, it will be open in approximately one to two hours. I.e., it is in the pre-drying stage.

Ferrata open

The ferrata is open. Climbing is permitted. Attention!!! If you are traveling from a distant location, for example more than an hour away, check the weather forecast carefully. The ferrata traffic light is managed directly by its administrator, but that doesn't mean it can't rain in an hour, and as proper mountaineers, you have to keep an eye on that yourselves.

Winter closure Nov 1 – March 31
